There are many water sports, tennis courts, and golf courses in this area as well.
The community is served by the Capistrano Unified School District, which offers highly ranked facilities like Moulton Elementary School and Niguel Hills Middle School. Dana Hills High School is also top notch and opened in 1972, making it one of the oldest high schools in the region. Its cross country team has won several state titles. There are also several private schools in this city, such as Broderick Montessori School, South Shores Christian Preschool and Kindergarten, and Capo Beach Christian School.
